InterCAS 2025: IB Youth Co-create Sustainable Solutions with the Corporate Sector
High-Impact Education Advancing the International Baccalaureate in Costa Rica
Since its beginnings, Demain Foundation has committed to educational transformation by strengthening the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme in Costa Rica. With just three private schools and the challenge of bringing it into public schools when we launched this mission, today we celebrate that 20 public schools and 35 private schools are already part of this global academic network, thanks to the leadership of our allied organization IB Compass, which has been recognized by the International Baccalaureate as its official entity for Central America and the Caribbean.
This achievement represents not only numerical growth but a profound evolution in educational quality, where students develop critical thinking, life skills, social awareness, and global leadership.
Strategic Support for IB Growth:
During 2024, IB Compass managed to execute:
• 16 professional development workshops on IB guides and strategies.
• Training for 235 teachers, of whom 164 belong to public schools..
• Multiple inter-school activities such as InterTok, strengthening the link between students, teachers, and education-committed companies.
